Travel & Parking

Getting Here

Renton Civic Theatre is located in the heart of downtown Renton, just minutes from I-405, SR-167, and public transit options.

Parking

Parking can be a little tricky in downtown Renton, but we're here to help!

Street Parking:

The safest option for patrons is to utilize street parking, which is readily available in the surrounding area.

Transit Center Garage:

The Transit Center garage is a great place to park for our matinees performances, but we do not recommend parking in the transit center garage for evening performances, as its closing time has historically varied.

Surrounding Parking Lots:

Renton Civic Theatre does not own or control any parking lot or garage. This includes the parking lots to the east and west of the theater. Parking in these lots is at your own risk and you are subject to being towed or fined at surrounding businesses' discretion.

Accessible Drop-Off:

While there are no dedicated ADA parking spots on the street, we do have a dedicated ADA dropoff right in front of the building, so those with mobility issue can be dropped off while their companion(s) park the vehicle

Public Transit

  • Multiple King County Metro bus routes stop within a 5-minute walk of the theatre, and the Renton Transit Center is just down the road.
  • Rideshare drop-off is easiest at S 3rd St. and Shattuck Ave. S.

Neighborhood Notes

RCT is located in an older part of downtown that can be quiet and dark at night. As always, we encourage guests to stay aware of their surroundings, travel in pairs/groups when possible, and feel free to ask our volunteers to escort you to your car after the show.
