Scrooge The Musical (with puppets!)

Renton Civic Theatre Presents: Scrooge The Musical

Renton, WA –  This December, join Renton Civic Theatre for Scrooge the Musical, a delightful retelling of the Dickens classic, “A Christmas Carol.” What makes this ‘carol’ different than any other? One word: Puppets.

If this concept sounds familiar - it should! In 2024, Renton Civic Theatre produced a terrific version of “A Christmas Carol (With Puppets),” a straight play adaptation without the musical elements. This time, the team is taking it up a notch by producing the musical version!

Using handcrafted puppets requires careful artistry from all involved! Local puppet creator (and director) Matt Posner is bringing this show to life in a bigger way with even more colorful characters than in the previous production. With a talented team of actors/singers/puppeteers taking the stage as a variety of technicolor thespians, this production brings out the charm, humor, and pathos of this beloved story in a new and beautiful way.

Come down to Renton Civic Theatre this holiday season and enjoy this fantastic story told in a fantastical way!
